Zankore Expands Southeast Asia’s AI Compute Infrastructure With NVIDIA

ZanKore is building an AI cloud platform to expand AI computing infrastructure from Indonesia across Southeast Asia and beyond.
Jakarta, September 9, 2026 – Zankore is building an initial 100 MW of NVIDIA AI Infrastructure, marking an important step in strengthening Indonesia's AI cloud capabilities and positioning the country to play a larger role in Southeast Asia's growing AI economy. As demand for AI and agentic applications accelerates, access to advanced computing is becoming increasingly critical to turning Indonesia's AI ambitions into innovation, productivity and broader economic impact.

‍Through the collaboration, Zankore plans to deliver NVIDIA-powered cloud services to AI-native companies, enterprises, startups, developers and institutions across Indonesia and Southeast Asia. A revenue-sharing and credit-support model will align infrastructure deployment with customer demand, helping broaden access to large-scale accelerated computing while providing Zankore with a capital-efficient path to scale.

‍Built on NVIDIA's full-stack AI computing technologies, the platform will provide high-performance GPU clusters designed for AI training and inference, giving customers access to dedicated, production-ready AI compute at scale and on demand. The platform will provide the advanced computing foundation needed to support modern AI workloads, from model training and fine-tuning to large-scale inference and agentic AI applications, enabling enterprises, startups, developers and institutions to build, deploy and scale AI across Indonesia and Southeast Asia.

‍For Indonesia, the opportunity goes beyond adopting AI technologies developed elsewhere. Building a meaningful AI future requires infrastructure that allows local innovation to be developed and scaled closer to Indonesia's data, users and industries, while creating the foundation for the country to serve growing demand across Southeast Asia.  Through the development of its AI cloud platform, Zankore aims to help build that foundation in Indonesia for the wider region, strengthening the country's role in the growing AI economy and enabling Indonesia and Southeast Asia to play a more active role in shaping and benefiting from the next generation of AI.

Vikram Sinha, Director and Chairman of Zankore,
said: “AI is creating a defining opportunity for Indonesia and Southeast Asia. The question is no longer simply whether the region will use AI, but whether we build the infrastructure that enables us to participate meaningfully in creating its future. With NVIDIA's support, Zankore is building the advanced AI computing foundation needed to help turn that opportunity into reality.”

Confidence in a Bankable AI Infrastructure Opportunity

Reflecting growing confidence in the demand for AI computing and Zankore's ability to capture this opportunity, the company today announced the signing of a senior term loan facility of up to US$3.1 billion, bringing together a consortium of leading regional and international financial institutions to support the development and deployment of its next-generation AI and GPU cloud infrastructure. The transaction represents one of Asia’s largest AI infrastructure financings and marks a significant milestone for Zankore as it advances its ambition to build a scalable AI computing platform for the region and beyond.

‍The financing follows the launch of Zankore, announced on August 6, 2026, with Ooredoo Group, Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison, NVIDIA and Nokia. At launch, Zankore announced plans to build one of Asia’s largest AI infrastructure platforms, targeting 1 GW of NVIDIA DSX AI Factory capacity and approximately 200 MW of initial capacity in the first half of 2027. Proceeds from the debt financing will support the acquisition and deployment of advanced NVIDIA GPU infrastructure.  Citi acted as the exclusive debt adviser on the US$3.1 billion senior term loan facility.

Kaustubh Kulkarni, Head of Investment Banking, Asia Pacific at Citi, said: “This landmark financing demonstrates the scale of capital and collaboration required to build the next generation of AI infrastructure. Citi is proud to have been given the opportunity to support Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison across both the establishment of Zankore and this financing, reflecting our ability to connect strategic advice with capital at scale.”

Citi, ING, Natixis CIB, Qatar National Bank (QNB) Group, and United Overseas Bank (UOB)
acted as senior mandated lead arrangers, underwriters and bookrunners (SMLAUBs) for the senior term loan facility, the first syndicated deal of this scale in APAC. The SMLAUBs’ support and underwriting of the facility reflect the growing recognition that the next phase of AI development will require significant investment in the infrastructure that powers it. As demand for AI computing accelerates, access to advanced GPU capacity is becoming increasingly important for businesses, industries and economies.

Uday Sareen, Head of Wholesale Banking, Asia Pacific at ING,
said: “ING is delighted to have partnered with Zankore and its shareholders on this pioneering transaction, marking a significant milestone in the financing of AI compute infrastructure within the APAC syndicated loan market. Given the substantial capital demands associated with AI compute and GPU deployments, we are proud to have applied our deep sector knowledge to develop a sustainable and replicable financing solution that can underpin Zankore’s long-term growth and expansion plans.”

Olivier Menard, Head of Global Trade, Asia Pacific at Natixis CIB said: “AI Compute is a new asset class that requires innovative financial solutions, such as this landmark financing for Zankore. We’d like to thank Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison for their trust in our expertise and strong track record, and to congratulate all the sponsors on setting a benchmark for future GPU financing projects in Asia Pacific.”

Khalid A. Al-Sada, Senior Executive Vice President, Group Corporate and Institutional Banking at QNB
, said: “This financing reflects the scale of investment and international collaboration required to build the advanced computing capacity that will support Southeast Asia’s next phase of digital growth. Beyond meeting rising demand for AI compute, infrastructure of this scale can enable businesses to develop and deploy new technologies, accelerate innovation and unlock broader economic opportunities across the region. QNB Group is proud to contribute to this significant transaction, which demonstrates the strength of our cross-border capabilities and the value of combining our international network with deep local market expertise. By bringing together our teams in Singapore and Indonesia, we are helping to connect capital with strategically important opportunities while supporting Indonesia’s ambition to become a leading regional hub for AI infrastructure.”

Samuel Tan, Managing Director and Head of Group Investment Banking at UOB, said: “The AI economy will be shaped not only by breakthroughs in technology, but by the infrastructure that enables innovation at scale. Zankore's ambition to establish one of Asia's largest AI computing platforms marks a significant milestone for ASEAN's digital future. Through this landmark financing, alongside a strong ecosystem of sponsors, technology partners and financial institutions, UOB is supporting that ambition by combining capital, expertise and our regional network to advance critical AI infrastructure, accelerate AI adoption across industries, and strengthen ASEAN's position in the global AI economy.”

For Zankore, the financing provides a strong foundation to accelerate the deployment of large-scale NVIDIA GPU computing and cloud-based AI services, translating its long-term vision into physical infrastructure and operational capacity.

The financing marks an important milestone in Zankore’s journey toward its long-term ambition to build up to 1 GW of NVIDIA AI computing capacity, and develop the infrastructure needed to meet rapidly growing demand for advanced AI computing. This ambition will be realised progressively, with each phase focused on strengthening the infrastructure, commercial ecosystem and operational capabilities needed to support sustainable growth. As AI adoption continues to accelerate, this financing provides Zankore with an important foundation to realize that ambition and represents a significant step towards building the computing infrastructure that will power the next chapter of the AI economy.
